Style Collective

Just discovered a great guest post by Angela from online boutique Leeloo over at the Style Collective blog.

It looks at whether eco fashion is really any more expensive than the mass-produced stuff and offers up some fantastic affordable eco fashion options...including one of my recycled handbags. Thanks Ang!

Go check it out!

New 'Life of The Party' Clutch

I am in love with the sweet vintage fabric used for this petite clutch. Check it out here.

ReJenerate Mag Love

Over the last couple of months my little creations have been featured in the 'What's Hot' section of 'Bride To Be' Magazine and the Christmas gift guide of 'G Magazine'. G Mag also featured some quotes from a little interview they did with me on sustainable fashion in their Sep/Oct issue...so I have been feeling the mag love! :)

Unfortunately all of the products featured have now sold out...but there's always new creations on the way!

Garden Love Bridesmaids Clutches

I have been trying to get some 'ready to ship' bridesmaids clutches online as the turn-around for my custom clutches is currently between 2-4 weeks and some brides don't have that much time up their sleeves.

The sets that I have listed before have been snapped up so I thought I would try to get some more happening. Here is my latest offering, the 'Garden Love' bridesmaid set made from a set of vintage napkins.

Check them out here.

Heidi & Seek Relaunch

Exciting news! The Heidi & Seek shop has been relaunched and stocked up with brand new and super cute designs...like the Oh Bow Tee above. Love it!
And those of you familiar with the Melbourne label will know that all Heidi & Seek creations are all made from 100% reclaimed fabrics.
Go check it out - but be quick as all items are one of a kind and have a habit of selling FAST!

Advent Loveliness

I was chatting to my mum the other day about the amazing advent calendars my grandmother used to give us at Christmas time. They were magical glittery scenes with little windows that would open to reveal more glittery goodness that really brought on the excitement of Christmas.
Well I gotta say - they don't make them like that anymore! The only advent calendars I can ever find are the ones that hide dodgy over-sweet chocolates behind the windows. And once the chocolate is gone, you're left with ugly bits of choc smeared plastic behind each window. Hmmph.
So you can imagine my delight when I spotted this grown up version of the advent calendar on Etsy. It's inspired by the quaint little shops in Amsterdam and features little Christmas-y pictures behind each window.
I wonder if any Aussie craftsters are making advent calendars this year...

I was just catching up on some blog reading and noticed the work of Lola's Room mentioned on the daydream lily blog.
Aren't these photos gorgeous?
Thanks to Lis from Daydream Lily for once again pointing out another great photographer!

Splash of Vintage Clutch

I have started going through my vintage fabric stash and putting together some new designs for the Finders Keepers Markets. I have been working pretty much solely on wedding clutches lately so I'm having great fun putting together fun designs for the funky Finders Keepers crowd.
I have added this girlie clutch to my online shop. You can check it out here.

Finders Keepers Success!

Yay! I recently found out that my application for a stall at the next Sydney Finders Keepers Markets was successful!
This is my absolute favourite market. It has the coolest vibe with great live music, a bar (thats right people, wine and shopping at the same time!) and loads of lovely people coming and going the whole time.
The markets will be on December 4 and 5 so be sure to clear your diaries as it is the best place to do your Christmas shopping and pick up some gorgeous, original and Aussie made goodies.
So you may have noticed that I have been a little absent on the blog front of late...this is due to lots of different reasons, some of which will be explained later.
But now that I have these markets coming up in around a month (and basically no stock on hand!!) I will be steadily building up my stock levels and trying to be a little more consistent with my blog. So come back and say hi soon :)

So unnecessary it's soooo necessary.

You know that feeling where you happen upon something that is ridiculously unnecessary but you can't fight the feeling that it would make your life so much better?

That's what I experienced when I spotted these matryoshka doll measuring cups mentioned over at decor8.

They nest inside each other like the real thing and perfectly measure out 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 2/3, 3/4 and 1 full cup.

Making cup cakes just became even more fun! Check them out here.
