Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Gee - I am once again worthy of the 'World's Most Boring Blogger' award this week I think! And I am once again going to blame it on a pile if custom orders. But here's a few examples as evidence :)
I am definitely looking forward to the weekend. I'll be working all day saturday (on a veeeeery exciting new project which I will report more on later) but on saturday night it will be Mexican food, margaritas and karaoke. Whoo hoo!

Bring it on.

Bliss

This photo to me equals bliss. It reminds me of sundays. Waking up with your favourite person in the world and slowly realising you have nothing to do but be with them. Bliss.

Photo from here.

A spot of upcycling...

All of these gorgeous things are made from salvaged materials and can be found at post road vintage. I want them all!

Handmade Loveliness

ReJenerate has had a crazy, busy, successful month so I decided to buy myself a little treat in the form of this gorgeous tshirt from New Zealand label, Papercup.
Hurry up Mr Postman!

Inventing Weddings

Look - my little creations have been featured over at inventingweddings.blogspot.com. Never realised I had so much pink in my range! I'm feeling all girlie and lovely now!

Today I'm obsessed with...

Today I'm obsessed with this dreamy painting from Rebecca Murphy. Serious talent.

I love this gorgeous doily and think it looks great on this salvaged denim handbag. See more here.

Today Is A Good Day

I found this kitchen over at decor8 (my endless source of inspiration) and it makes me want to put on an apron and whip up a batch of cupcakes he he he
Today is definitely a good day. The Mr is home from work due to sleep deprivation brought on by the hideous night time roadworks going on near our house. As those of you who follow me on twitter would know, I rang up to complain about the unbelievable noise late last night and the council offered to drop over some industrial ear muffs today as a solution. That made me laugh...or was it cry? It's a fine line where these roadworks are concerned.
Anyway, I am not making this sound like a good day as advertised in the heading!
The Mr and I took a lovely stroll this morning to pick up dinner supplies and a much needed coffee and discovered that it is the most divine day! We both left our coats at home and wandered around the sunny streets in short sleeves. Gorgeous!
I am now catching up on work but looking forward to an afternoon trip to the post office...another excuse for a stroll in the sun.
I also got some amazingly exciting news from my bestie yesterday and that is making me super, super happy. If you're reading this Jac...I'm still grinning :)
Anyways, I've got to get some clutches wrapped up and posted...brides around the world are waiting excitedly by their mail boxes he he he

Coffee for one...

On my way to the post office this morning I had to take a quick happy snap.
All my little packages looked so cute nestled among a few of my favourite things...an old copy of frankie mag, a print by Catherine Campbell and best of all my 'coffee for one' set.
I picked it up at an op shop the other day for $3! It's not vintage but it is cute! It was still in it's original box and looked new and unused. Can't believe it's original owner didn't want it! Worked out well for me :)

Coogee Markets

Leeloo and I will be setting up shop tomorrow at Coogee Markets at The Beach Palace Hotel between midday and 5pm. Come and say hi if you're in the area :)

odd forest cushion cover

Finally managing to get some more cushion covers created. This one is made from the most gorgeous vintage fabric featuring quirky trees and birds. Love it.

Today I'm obsessed with...

Today I'm obsessed with...this amazing bike from madsen cycles. I would looooove to fill this up with fresh flowers, fruit and veggies at the local markets and cruise around the streets.
Although any of you who know me personally are probably rolling around on the floor with laughter right now...let's just say I'm kinda accident prone. I think this bike might be a little too much for me to handle...and is that model wearing heels??? Surely not...

More bridesmaid clutches

I have been working on lots of custom bridesmaids sets lately. They are so fun to create!

Sweet Medicine

Not a great day today...I had to go out to a bunch of meetings and appointments (and have a quick cup of coffee with my dad and aunty as a little bonus!) but when I got home I realised that my house key was sitting just INSIDE my front door. Damn.

Anyway, the mister came to the rescue and all is good, but I still feel like one of these little cupcakes and a nice cup of tea would ease the stress :)
Meanwhile, it looks like there has been over 100 entries to win my little clutch over at Yellow goat. Don't miss your chance to enter!

Awesome Upcycling

Wow - my blog has been really boring this week!
I have been pretty busy slogging through lots of custom orders and trying to get some other new things made too. Hopefully I will get to upload a couple of them tonight.
Meanwhile, just had to post these upcycled gems that I spotted in the eco friendly gift guides on Etsy. They are both by Vintage Renaissance, a pair of recycling enthusiasts out of The States.
Probably not very eco friendly to get either of these large items shipped from America, but we can still admire them from a far :)
PS Go Poh!

Win a ReJenerate clutch over at yellow goat!

I'm sure many of you have heard of Yellowgoat. The label is run by the lovely Petula in Hong Kong and she makes the most gorgeous jewellery and art.

This is one of my faves; the Fly Away with Me Necklace:

Well I'm excited to let you know that Yellowgoat is holding a give-away of a little ReJenerate clutch over at her blog.

Go and check it out and enter to win!

A good time had by all...

Here's a pic of the Leeloo/ReJenerate stall at yesterday's Kirribilli Art & Design Market. Actually most of the ReJenerate stock is not in the shot! he he he And neither are Ang (from Leeloo) or I due to the fact that we were unable to actually keep our eyes open in any photos!
It was completely freezing but we got to chat to lots of lovely customers, get a talking to from nearby stallholders for cranking the Hottest 100 too loud on our tiny portable radio (he he he) and eat some seriously good Japanese food. Not too mention a slice of delicious pear cake baked by Art4Friend's Renee...mmmm...thanks Renee :)
My only complaint is that for an 'Art & Design' market where all goods need to be designed and made in Australia, there sure did seem to be alot of cheap imported goods on sale. Not easy for independent Aussie designers to compete with unfortunately.
But overall, a fun and successful day.

Kirribilli Art & Design Markets

I will be showing my wares at Kirribilli Art & Design Market tomorrow (sunday) so come by and see me in the Burton Street Tunnel, Milsons Point between 9am and 3pm if you're going to be in the neighbourhood.

I'll have some new designs available and will also have some fab bargains just for the markets so if you've had your eye on something in my online store you might even be able to score yourself a great deal.

I'll be sharing a stall with the Leeloo gang too so you shouldn't have too hard of a time finding something that grabs your fancy :)

What Are You Wearing Today?

This was the question posed by Renee from Art4Friends when she tagged me yesterday. I don't think I've been tagged before...so I better not stuff it up :)
Today I'm wearing a vintage dress, really similar to the one above, that I scored from my local vintage dress shop, Mint Condition, in Rozelle.

Unfortunately it's way to freezing for bare feet and bicycles so the dress is buried under a gorgeous and cosy cardi I got from Witchery about 4 years ago (and it's still going strong!) and a scarf I scored from Vinnies and of course my fave grey cable knit tights.
Technically I was supposed to answer this yesterday but it's a good thing I never got to it as it was a kind of hectic day that could only be tackled in jeans and Converse. Not very exciting!
But they got me through several trips to the post office (yep, I'm not organised enough to go just once!), a visit to Retrospections to drop off some new goodies for them and a quick raid of Reverse Garbage where I scored some awesome things, like this:

I'm thinking it will be perfect for a handbag strap...stay tuned.

Wedding Inspiration Board

Isn't this pink wedding inspiration board too cute? Notice my little clutches peeping out from the bottom corner?
This was published over at the Inventing Weddings blog, a blog dedicated to providing inspiration for lovely handmade wedding touches.
Thanks guys :)

Custom Bridesmaids Clutches

I am loving these smaller size kiss-lock frames. They are just such a cute size...especially for bridesmaids. So I am now doing my custom bridesmaid clutches in this size. See more here.

Plagarism

An entirely unoriginal post this morning, stolen directly from the decor8 blog.
But I just had to share this great pic from MadeByGirl. It definitely hit a chord with me as I'm sitting here sipping a coffee and catching up on blogs!

Slouchy Sandy

Here is another creation made from my Reverse Garbage loot. It is lined with the most divine vintage fabric that I scored from a friend's grandma that I wrote about back here.
See more in my Etsy Shop.

RIP Plastic Water Bottles

I was just listening to 'Hack' on Triple J and they were reporting on a small NSW town, Bundanoon, who are planning to ban bottled water from their town. Go Bandanoon!
Filtered water fountains will be installed along the main street and residents will use their own re-usable bottles to keep hydrated.
Hmmm hopefully Sydney catches up soon. These bottles from Sigg (available here) are sooo much cooler than plastic bottles anyway!

Gasp!

Oh my, I am ridiculously in love with these divine teacups from the UK's Claire Coles . Tea and embroidery...swoon.

Eco Art

Ok I know I have to stop going on endlessly about Renee from Art4Friends and her gorgeous creations but how could I resist posting these? Super cute art with an eco message. Divine!

I don't know if these are available for sale...maybe Renee will let us know...

What I do know is that she is having an art show on July 15. I'm excited! Click here for details.

Life of the Party Clutch

A while ago I blogged about my trip to Reverse Garbage and the awesome loot I scored. This is the first creation to come from that trip.
The exterior is made from a sample upholstery fabric piece from furniture store, Freedom. The lining is a piece of discarded fabric found in an op shop.
Not bad for a couple of unloved pieces of fabric right?
See more here.

Bridal Betty Eco Clutch

I am almost up-to-date on my wedding clutch back orders so I have a new addition to my Etsy shop that is ready to ship. See more here.

Mag Love

Three of my fave mags, Frankie, Peppermint and Real Living have recently released new issues and I have them ALL and I haven't have a chance to read ANY of them yet!!

I am resisting the urge to make a big cup of tea, curl up under a blanket and spend the rest of the day flipping pages...nope, stuff to do.

This month's issues all have a little personal touch too.

My gorgeous friend and fellow Leeloo artist, Renee, from Art4Friends penned Frankie's letter of the month:

One of my little creations made the pages of Peppermint:

And the lovely Lisa from Lox+Savvy (another fellow Leeloo gal) makes an appearance in the pages of Real Living. I am loooooving her dress!

So I will try to get through lots of work today so that I can finally crack the pages tonight!

The 'Shiny Halo' Yoga Bag

I was asked by a particularly lovely customer to custom design a bag for her friend that could be used to carry a yoga mat to and from the gym. This is the bag I came up with and I like the design so much that I have decided to add it to my shop.
See more here.

Because it's Saturday

A post of a pretty picture, just because it's saturday.
I am feeling relaxed today because I am pretty much up to date with orders and can rest assured that all of my lovely brides will receive their bridal clutches in time for their weddings. That's a good thing!
I had a mad rush to the post office last night. I left my house at 4.50pm with a green bag packed full of bridal goodness and literally sprinted (uphill) to the post office and skidded through the door just as they were trying to shut it. PHEW!
I don't think I have ever felt less welcome in a space than I did at 4.55pm in a post office with a bag full of parcels and stack of blank custom forms in front of me he he he
But a delish dinner and a couple of glasses of red with the mister and the sister took care of any stress and today I'm feeling gooooooood.
Enjoy your weekend!
