Cottage Envy

We are considering moving house at the moment. It's no walk in the park though. Why is it so hard to find something like this in Sydney's inner west? I mean really...

'Summer Love' Bridesmaid Clutch Set

I made this set as a custom order but have had lots of enquiries about them after posting them on my blog so I thought I would put a ready-to-ship set for sale on my site too.

You can check them out here.

A world away...

More divine winter scenes from Sweden. This is the house of my aunt and uncle in a small Swedish town. Isn't it gorgeous?

Seems all a little surreal looking at these photos today when we are sweltering away in Sydney.

Must focus on turning this huge pile of ivory fabric into bridal clutches. Must not think about heading to the beach for a swim in the cool sea. Seriously.

from Norway with love...

Just had to share some pics from this quirky and colourful Norwegian house featured in today's 'Etsy Finds Decor'.

I have never been to Norway but the houses I have visited in other parts of Scandinavia are some of the most gorgeous I have seen. I love the way they work with a really white base, floors, walls, ceilings and then add just the right splashes of colour to bring in to life.

Check out more of this super cool house at owner, Tove Michelle Hjallum's, Flikr page.

Splash of Vintage Clutch

A new super sweet, super vintage clutch now available

Too bad...so sad...

I'm feeling a little devestated as I just discovered that the 2010 edition of the frankie calendar is completely sold out!

They weren't lying when they said to get in quick sticks before it sells out.

What will become of 2010 without my frankie calendar to guide me through??

If anyone knows anywhere that still has copies available...please let me know...

Until then, I shall be in a corner somewhere, quietly rocking back and forth.

Winter Wonderland

Happy 2010 lovely people!

Isn't this photo gorgeous? It is of the little Swedish town where my family are from. It is absolutely freezing there at the moment (obviously!) and everything is covered in a thick blanket of snow.

The photo was taken by an old friend of my dad (hi Hans!) and is making me long for a little bit of winter wonderland. Although maybe only for a day or two ha ha!

Well I have been brought out of my Christmas break with a bit of a jolt.

I think lots of ladies have been reading their Bride To Be Magazines over their Christmas break and my order book is getting a little overwhelming...which is great! But no cocktails by the pool for me this January!!

I do love creating the bridesmaids sets though, they are just so cute and it makes me all warm and fuzzy when brides get all excited about designing a gift to give to the most important ladies in their lives.

Isn't this set summery and fun?

Another chance to be the life of the party...

New 'Life of the Party' Clutch now available. See more here.

More doily love...

The combo of this gorgeous doily and cute vintage fabric is too cute. Check it out here.

'Waste Not Want Not' Clutch

Another little bit of upcycled cuteness from the world of ReJenerate. See more here.

Hint, hint...

This gorgeous print by Sydney artist, crafter, designer and all round nice gal Tabitha Emma is definitely going on my Christmas wish list.

I was shocked yesterday to discover that some of her work (the logo she designed for Leeloo's recent Once Upon art exhibition) has been blatantly ripped off by Alannah Hill! See for yourself.

Uncool.

'Just Like Heaven'

Drool. How divine is this vintage brooch? It is now attached to my

'Just Like Heaven' Bridal Clutch.

Check it out here.

I'm wrapped...

I have been making in-roads on the Christmas shopping front over the last few days. I have been raiding madeit.com.au and etsy.com along with websites of lots of other Aussie artists and designers and have found some cool and unique gifts. I also ended up in a large shopping centre along with the rest of Sydney at one point and quickly vowed again to try and get everything online.

Once all the shopping is done, it's time for gift wrapping and I gotta say, I'm a bit of a fan of good wrapping. But it's not the most eco friendly exercise which is why I am inspired by these photos by Color Me Pretty found via Decor8. I am thinking newspaper, vintage buttons and trims, pre-loved doilies and linens and rustic twine should be the theme of the year. Yum.

an ecclectic selection of sustainable fashion...

That is the promise made over at fabulous new eco store, Green Bowerbird. Stocking a selection of Australian eco brands, Green Bowerbird is out to prove that ethical does not mean ugly. Yay!

I am really excited to announce that ReJenerate is one of the labels represented on this great new site...here's a pic of one of my retro fabric clutches available in the online store:

And how fabulous are these vintage kimono fabric wedges by Dames and Divas? Love it!

Also available are vintage fabric dresses from one of my favourite Aussie designers, Mother Maria. And guess what?? For today only there is a 15% off sale so hurry over for some awesome eco Christmas present ideas.

Clutch-licious!

A couple of new additions to my online shop. You can check them out here and here.

It's a wrap!

Phew! It's all over!

As expected the Finders Keepers Markets was crazy, chaotic, exhausting and sooo much fun. I have had my head down for the last 4 weeks or so trying to get enough stock for my stall and it all came together in the end.

And I gotta say that all the hard work is worth it when a group of girlfriends stampede your stall grabbing things and shrieking out in such high pitched, excited sentences that you can no longer actually understand what they're saying! Love it.

There were lots of people buying gifts for sisters, girlfriends, wives and daughters too so if you live in Sydney, keep an eye on your Christmas stocking for some ReJenerate goodies this year!

A huge thanks to my hubby, sister and mum who were my little ReJenerate army...couldn't have done it without you!

Now that the markets are over, I will be giving a little more love to my online store so keep an eye on my website for new Christmas stock - coming very, very soon!

Psssst...

I know I have been a little quiet of late but that is because I am in Finders Keepers lock down, busily preparing for my stall this weekend.

If you want to grab a cheeky sneak peek at the goodies that will be available, check out a little picture of me and my clutches over at the Leeloo blog where I am this week's featured designer.

There are also a few new ReJenerate goodies available (like the clutch pictured which is made from a salvaged table runner) in the Leeloo shop.

Thanks Leeloo xx

Once Upon Exhibition

Snow White as interpreted by Eliza Malone

Princess and The Pea as interpreted by Tabitha Emma

The Little Mermaid as interpreted by Renee Anne

Hansel and Gretel as interpreted by Meeri Anneli

The Ginger Bread Man as interpreted by Enyaj

Little Red Riding Hood as interpreted by Courtney Brims

I had the most fun night last week filled with Nepalese food, my mum, my hubby and lots of gorgeous artwork at the Once Upon exhibition.

I was absolutely blown away by the stunning art works and I think I really loved ALL of them! Above are a few of my favourites. Aren't they amazing?? If you missed the exhibition don't stress as some art works are still available online here.

Another huge congrats to Ang from Leeloo (and happy 2nd birthday to Leeloo!) and Renee from Art4Friends who put so much love and hard work into this amazing event. You ladies blow my mind.

New Release at {twin set}

Oh {twin set} why must you do this to me?? Another divine photo shoot that makes me spend hours swooning when I should be cutting out clutches for the Finders Keepers markets!

Do yourself a favour and go and check out the twin set website to see their gorgeous new releases.

Now back to cutting...I will post a pic of some of my new creations soon.

Pocket Carnival Gift Tags

Today I kicked off my pledge to buy more Australian handmade this Christmas with these cute lil gift tags from Melbourne label Pocket Carnival.

They're handmade in Melbourne, printed on recycled card and topped with op shop crochet thread.

Check out their madeit store.

Custom Bridesmaids Clutches

Just a quick note to anyone who is checking out my blog after finding my website through Bride To be Magazine. The Garden Love clutch set that was featured in the magazine has sold out but don't despair as I do offer custom bridesmaids sets, designed just for you!

So just shoot me an email at jen@rejenerate.com.au and we can work together to create the perfect set of clutches for your fave girls!

Style Collective

Just discovered a great guest post by Angela from online boutique Leeloo over at the Style Collective blog.

It looks at whether eco fashion is really any more expensive than the mass-produced stuff and offers up some fantastic affordable eco fashion options...including one of my recycled handbags. Thanks Ang!

Go check it out!

New 'Life of The Party' Clutch

I am in love with the sweet vintage fabric used for this petite clutch. Check it out here.

ReJenerate Mag Love

Over the last couple of months my little creations have been featured in the 'What's Hot' section of 'Bride To Be' Magazine and the Christmas gift guide of 'G Magazine'. G Mag also featured some quotes from a little interview they did with me on sustainable fashion in their Sep/Oct issue...so I have been feeling the mag love! :)

Unfortunately all of the products featured have now sold out...but there's always new creations on the way!

Garden Love Bridesmaids Clutches

I have been trying to get some 'ready to ship' bridesmaids clutches online as the turn-around for my custom clutches is currently between 2-4 weeks and some brides don't have that much time up their sleeves.

The sets that I have listed before have been snapped up so I thought I would try to get some more happening. Here is my latest offering, the 'Garden Love' bridesmaid set made from a set of vintage napkins.

Check them out here.

Heidi & Seek Relaunch

Exciting news! The Heidi & Seek shop has been relaunched and stocked up with brand new and super cute designs...like the Oh Bow Tee above. Love it!

And those of you familiar with the Melbourne label will know that all Heidi & Seek creations are all made from 100% reclaimed fabrics.

Go check it out - but be quick as all items are one of a kind and have a habit of selling FAST!

Advent Loveliness

I was chatting to my mum the other day about the amazing advent calendars my grandmother used to give us at Christmas time. They were magical glittery scenes with little windows that would open to reveal more glittery goodness that really brought on the excitement of Christmas.

Well I gotta say - they don't make them like that anymore! The only advent calendars I can ever find are the ones that hide dodgy over-sweet chocolates behind the windows. And once the chocolate is gone, you're left with ugly bits of choc smeared plastic behind each window. Hmmph.

So you can imagine my delight when I spotted this grown up version of the advent calendar on Etsy. It's inspired by the quaint little shops in Amsterdam and features little Christmas-y pictures behind each window.

I wonder if any Aussie craftsters are making advent calendars this year...
